2 Months Time For An Update.... 1st Off SuperCross Qwest Field-Seattle April 26th, 2008

When we are not racing or going to car racing Carissa is a big fan of Super Cross, Her Favorite rider is James "Bubba" Stewart, and Chad Reed, This year James isnt racing due to an injury but he was there, we had pit passes so we took her down into the pits before the race, every year we go and she gets close to him, but we miss the ticket hand out for the autographs so yet again this is all the closer she got to him. It was a great race we went with friends so that made the night much funner!

Hello hello~

Whoo hoo it's racing season, and I was told this weekend at the races that I was slacking on my blog (thanks Ray!!, so I updated it just for you!)

We havn't been up to much of nothing, the Monster Trucks were here the 1st week of April so we took Carissa to watch them & for them being in the Sundome it was a pretty good show... it could of been in a bigger place or outside.

Our Spring Break wasn't nothing spectacular (wish I was on Spring Break with Heather, Blake, and Emily) Carissa stayed at my Mom's all week but they have a spring break carnival at the mall so I took her to it and like always she had fun!

That pretty much sums up our month! That and it's finally racing season Whoo hooo, the Apple Cup was this weekend, Kriss didn't race but it was sure nice to just sit & watch but he did help his buddy Jeff work on his hobby car & he finished 5th in the race so not bad! That and the late models would have to say great job Bj on his win with his mom in the hospital in serious condition I was glad to see him win!

So we look forward to spending our Saturdays racing or watching a race somewhere!! So bring on the warm weather & the fast cars!

Hello & Happy Easter

Just a recap on life these days~
Carissa turned 9 on Febuary 28th, she had a bowling party with a few friends spending the night this was the 1st time that she wanted anyone to stay over so it was a shock! Her dad got her a special present just from him that was a PSP... she was one happy girl. We took the girls up to White Pass for the winter carnval which was pretty cool they had fireworks and some neat snow castles and carvings made out of snow

Basketball is now done and her coach highly recommends her to be on a aau team next year, as he says she is a great player. The only think with aau is that they travel alot, but heck I figure if it is something that she wants to do we are more than willing to let her do it.

We have just been snowmobiling as we are trying to get as much of it done as the season is just about over for that the snow is melting pretty fast, then onto the warm weather and racing season I love the racing season as we get to see friends that we havn't seen all winter long!

I took Carissa to a Donkey Basketball game the other night at the High School and I didn't know that they used real live donkeys! That had to be the funniest thing that I have ever seen and this is an annual thing so we will be going again next year!

Carissa just got done dying easter eggs, so we are now ready for the easter bunny to come tommorrow! Hope all of you are ready too ready for the warm weather it was 60 here today Whoo Hooo!

We are alive!!

We have been so busy, that I havn't been able to update all of you on our busy lives!! Wow havn't done one since January 23rd.
We had another basketball game on January 26th, they played the fourth grade girls, Carissa's team is all 3rd girls they lost 22-12, they played a good game, so Iguess that is all that counts!
Sunday the 27th, Kriss celebrated his 33rd birthday, so we did the cake & ice cream goodies, and he decided that he want to go snowmobiling so off we went. Snowmobiling or going out to eat we were all happy that he decided to play in the snow!

All last week was another hectic work week, I sure wish it would slow down sometime soon, we had snow but not as much as some of the rest of you! Karen we are so glad that you guys are all safe cause you got a lot! The schools here were only late one day & didn't miss any days.

So far the only one of us that has been sick has been Kriss, so hopfully the rest of us don't get it as I hate staying home from work when I'm sick as it takes me forever to get caught back up at work! Cause when I'm gone no one does my work for me so that kinda sucks!

Well that sums up our week! We are headed to another basketball game today at 3:00 we are hoping for a good game & I hope we get her basketball pictures back today as I think they are going to be so cute!

Well, I'm gonna get going Carissa has just informed that she wants a new pair of shoes, and she is making out her birthday list! So I figured if I go get her a new pair of shoes she will leave mine alone!!

Yeah, its snowing right now!! We have about 1/2 inch of new!! Let it snow!

Just an update!

Hello everyone~
Just a quick update we have been so darn busy, well on Sunday Kriss & I went on the snowmobile poker run, there were alot of people & with this being our first one we really didn't know what to expect! There was about 300 snowmobilers there, they had 5 check points set up though out the 24.1 mile ride, where we would draw a card out of the bucket & they would punch our poker cards, the best I could get was a pair of queens, and Kriss got 3 of a kind w/tens so not bad, but most of all we had a great time, it was also snowing all day which made it even better, we were a bit sore come Monday as the trail was very rough with all the snowmobiles on it but would do it again in a heart beat!

Monday & Tuesday~ Nothing great back to busy, hectic work, we are so darn busy that at the end of the work day you have been so busy that it fills like you didn't get a darn thing done, which I'm sure I'm progressing somewhere but my desk sure don't look like it! One good thing about it the days go by really fast & so does the week so the weekend comes faster!!

Today~ Wed was another basketball practice for Carissa, coach wasn't there tonight as he had a family emergency or something so one of the girls dad coached witch for him never doing it before he did a great job! I'm just not starting to get use to being a sports mom as Carissa has never been into playing sports, unless it was racing & of course I know how to do that! LOL She tired soccer for a season and absolutely hated it and she plays basketball outside with the boys and seemed to like it so I made the suggestion for her to play on a team I'm so glad I did cause she loves it, she is picking up the rules of the game quite well as all she knew is how to make baskets, and she is now finding out that there is more to the game then making baskets!!

I'm the type of parent that don't force her to play a sport, I figure I will make the suggestion if I think that she will like it and she can either do it or don't do it & I will have no hurt feelings if she don't like my suggestion!!! So far that seems to work we have now figured out that she absolutely don't want to race which is very unusual as I figured that would be the one think that she would want to do since she has grown up at the race track since she was 2 weeks old and loves it!! But we will see she may eventually change her mind!!

The most important part of today is that Kriss & I celebrated our "anniversary" we have been together 10 happy years today! As I say happily unmarried!!!

I hope that this week has brought joy & happiness to each one of you, as I'm headed to bed so I can get up tomorrow and go to work yuck but hey I'm working for the weekend!! As we have another busy weekend planned in the snow!!

Another Basketball Saturday~

Today was another basketball game for Carissa, they had to be at the school at 8:15 am for pictures & their game was at 9:00 so we had a few tired girls, but they sure didn't show it on the basketball court they were ready to go right at the sound of the buzzer

They played one heck of a game, they work really good together so anytime you have that combination your going to have a winning team, well that was just it they won again! Score was 8-6, close but heck they won, I think they started getting tired towards the end as there was a few girls missing so that meant more time in the game for the rest of the girls that was there, cause they held the other team at zero until the fourth quarter, but they weren't going to give up until the final buzzer. Carissa got a surprise today with her grandpa & grandma surprising her and showing up for the game, she has been bugging them all season to go. The team is now 2-1 not bad for a bunch of rookies!

Hope all of you are having a great weekend so far. Tomorrow Kriss & I are going on a poker run on the snowmobiles at Little Naches, we have never done a poker run so it should be fun. Carissa is going to stay and go to see Alvin & The Chipmunks!
